Massapequa Park forced to step in after Verizon has a falling-out with Water District. The Massapequa Park Village Board has voted to give Mayor James Altadonna final authorization to purchase a small parcel of land from Nassau County where a Verizon cell tower will be erected. Vanderbilt trustees delay decision on cell tower – Newsday

The board voted 8-7 Wednesday night to table a motion that would have sent to the Suffolk County Legislature an agreement the board crafted with Suffolk Wireless for the tower's construction. Brightwaters Village mulls cellphone tower

Friday, 27 July 2012 01:50 Fuller, Nicole July 27--The Brightwaters Village board of trustees might consider erecting a cellphone tower on village-owned land, hoping to net as much as $12 million for the village over 50 years. The board discussed the proposal at its Wednesday night meeting, which was attended by three residents. The proposal, which village officials said is in its infancy, would allow Elite Towers, a Deer Park-based telecommunications company, to erect a 100-foot tower in Gilbert Park.
